Mtech Access took on an intern from the University of York in 2020 as their NHS Insights & Interaction team was growing and they were bringing in new Associates from across the NHS. They needed someone with good analytical skills and an interest in the healthcare sector to help them develop contracting processes for their NHS Associates. They also needed someone to explore the best way for them to communicate with this diverse range of stakeholders and assess different communication platforms to do so.

With support from the University’s Student Internship Bureau, Mtech found a very hardworking and conscientious intern who would think outside the box. She completed the contracting work to a very high standard and very efficiently. A thorough analysis of the different platforms they could use to communicate with associates was undertaken which enabled them to select and implement a platform which is enhancing their ability to engage with their Associates and expand their service offering.

Mtech Access found the overall experience great and have also employed a year in industry placement student from the University of York.

The internship enabled Mtech Access to progress faster and more effectively than would otherwise have been possible which has given them a valuable platform to support their growth.
