During lockdown We Are Your IT have supported a wide mix of clients facing challenges ranging from working at home to an increase in cyber security threats. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the We Are Your IT office has remained open, providing essential support to local businesses and private clients whilst at the same time protecting it’s staff and customers by implementing a robust Covid-19 safety policy.
York Science Park reopened on the 1st July after a period of closure to prepare it’s COVID-19 Secure Workplace. Multiple sanitizing stations have been installed across the site, mask wearing in corridors is mandatory and screens around reception have been installed to ensure that our Centre Coordinators could return to deliver vital services, safely.
We Are Your It have followed all the governments advice for enabling a safe working environment. As you would expect, our employees can work remotely as well as work safely at our newly refurbished offices at the Science park. About 80% of our work can be undertaken remotely, thus limiting our need to attend sites to just those emergency situations only. We’ve continued to offer our pickup and return service for our more vulnerable customers, ensuring that they stay connected. Furthermore, we’ve created a dedicated service for businesses with employees working from home through our It 4 Business brand.
Jonathan explained how they have been adapting to life under lockdown whilst still supporting their clients. “We have equipped our employees with the ability to work remotely and safely within the office environment. Our newly refurbished offices are now more clinical, and desks spaced out to government guidelines. The additional space has enabled us to continue to work safely whilst we expand our business. The Science Park have also been very accommodating throughout the whole Covid-19 crisis and they should be commended for the way they have handled the situation.”
