Our team can help you access funding for a wide range of needs, including:

  • Training – Launched in 2018 the Skills Service work with businesses to develop training and support for businesses looking to train their staff in a wide range of topics. Training can be tailored to suit you, from in-house training to convenient external locations, distance learning and bespoke training solutions. With help from The Skills Service businesses can benefit from up to 40% funding for training programmes.
  • Equipment – The Product and Process Innovation (PAPI) project helps small businesses in York, North Yorkshire and East Riding develop innovative new products by providing grants for equipment. The funding consists of up to 40% grants (up to a maximum value of £20k) for equipment enabling you to innovate and generate new jobs and growth. The PAPI team also offer expert business development support and guidance at every step of the application process.
  • Research – The University of York has a strong tradition of collaborative research and knowledge exchange with industry. This work is able to take place through commercial partnerships and through a range of funding opportunities available to organisations from founders from local development groups to EU agencies. They can support organisations in carrying out collaborative research and assist in finding external funding sources for work in partnership with the University. Potential funding sources include:
  • Growth – As businesses in the Leeds City Region, residents of York Science Park could qualify for grant funding of £10,000 to £50,000 through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) City Region Digital Investment Fund. This new fund has been developed to support businesses within the digital and tech sectors, with priority for businesses working in; IT, software and hardware, creative industries, cyber security and data protection technologies, smart technology, smart cities, internet of things and new technologies.
