18:40: Difficult Conversations and Friendlier Workplaces – Alex Townsend and Laura Hilliker
Laura and Alex will talk through some pointers on how to prepare, have, and follow up on those difficult conversations we all have at inside and outside of work; and will provide some guidance on how we can all make our workplaces more human and friendlier for all.
Alex is UK HR Manager and Laura is HR Assistant, both at Piksel in the York-based HR team. Working to support colleagues in all areas of technical and non-technical discipline, we are always looking for ways to better understand and support our teams.

Metadata is all around us…In this talk Dee will introduce you to metadata. It is more than a few tags on a page, it is the basis of many businesses and it is all around you. Dee will explain what metadata is and the purpose of it. Thinking and talking about practical applications of metadata and how business is using it to improve customer experience.
