Day 1 – Communication foundations | Wednesday 3 June 2020, 9:30am – 12:30pm
Day 1 will start by exploring what good communication is and how this is applied for different situations with an emphasis on the expectations and communication channels used by academics. This is divided into three main topics:
- What good communication is
- Academics and communicating your work effectively
- Identifying your project stakeholders
Day 2 – Structuring your message | Thursday 4 June 2020, 9:30am – 12:30pm
The second day builds on activities done during the first day. Specifically discussing presentations, it focuses on ways to structure presentations, so they are relevant to the target audience, presenting complex ideas visually and tips for creating engaging presentations.
