Sky’s Tech Hub at Leeds Dock are super excited to be opening their doors to you in order to mark International Women’s day.
We know that embracing different perspectives and celebrating diversity makes Sky a great place to work, it means we foster innovation and make better decisions as a business. We are celebrating by bringing men and women together for an evening of inspirational talks, networking, pizza and drinks.

Every working parent knows that feeling of guilt when you have a big work presentation on the same day your child suddenly gets sick. Who do you disappoint? Are you a terrible parent if you still go to work? Are you a loyal team player if you stay at home? We will be chatting through the emotional rollercoaster that comes with being a working parent. I say parent because this applies to mums and dads. Let’s start an honest conversation about how we can tackle the working parent stigma.

After working in Tech after University, Joanne decided to switch to a career in Maths teaching. Following 15 years at The Chalkface, Jo retrained as a Software Developer on Sky’s ‘Get Into Tech’ programme. She now works on Sky’s Business and Corporate Tribe supporting a huge range of internal apps and learning new stuff every day!
