Government has tasked Local Enterprise Partnerships to develop Local Industrial Strategies which address the productivity challenge, by identifying long term priorities for funding and growth. We intend to develop priorities that recognise our distinctive places and propel growth that is good: good for people, good for the planet and good for business.

Our Local Industrial Strategy will be created collaboratively, establishing regional priorities that enable every local place to capitalise on their strengths and distinctiveness and address challenges.

This workshop will refine Local Industrial Strategy priorities and outline interventions by investigating how we can:

• unlock growth in higher productivity sectors by addressing barriers such as skills and infrastructure; and,

• increase productivity across the economy by engaging with new technologies and working practices.

We’re encouraging small businesses, SMEs and large businesses, from across sectors, as well business support providers, to attend and get involved in shaping an ambitious future for our region.
