York Health Economics Consortium (YHEC) is looking to recruit a Project Administrator to undertake a wide range of projects in the Health Economic Modelling work stream. YHEC is a health economics contract research and consulting company owned by, and based at, the University of York. YHEC provides consultancy and research to a wide range of public and private sector bodies. Our clients include:

  • Government bodies, such as the Department of Health
  • NICE and the SMC
  • Global pharmaceutical manufacturers
  • Medical device and biotech companies

The main purpose of this role is to provide project assistance and administrative support on all projects undertaken by the Health Economic Modelling (HEM) team. The post holder will work closely with the Associate Director: HEM and will be part of the support services team. This post will report to the Associate Director: HEM of YHEC.

Main Duties

The main responsibilities of a Project Administrator are:

  • Complete professional administration of specific projects.
  • Maintenance of electronic data/records for project.
  • Communication/liaison via phone or email with staff and clients.
  • Formatting/house styling of all project and related documentation.
  • Diary management for the Associate Director and others as appropriate.
  • Travel arrangements for HEM team.
  • Arranging and co-ordinating project meetings, steering groups etc.
  • Creation and maintenance of project files and administrative files to help with marketing for HEM.
  • Completing Excel spreadsheets with information such as expenses.
  • Set-up of new project codes.
  • Finance administration tasks for HEM projects (including liaising with clients about invoice requirements, processing expense claims).
  • Preparation of brief notes, agendas, minutes, reports and related project correspondence.
  • Dealing with telephone calls to the unit and correspondence queries and supplying project reports, discussion papers and other publications.
  • Liaising and assisting external project team members where necessary.
  • Liaising with the marketing administrator on the social media profile for HEM.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of computer packages used within YHEC.
