Next Generation Digital challenge awards 2014
The Next Generation Digital Challenge Awards showcase the best in next generation digital access infrastructure innovation and run alongside the annual NextGen Conference - the UK's leading event for Next Generation broadband activity.

2014 Open Call for Nominations to be launched in February

Now in its 4th year, the Digital Challenge Awards will embrace more aspects of the UK’s digitally transformed economy. The Open Call in February will seek innovative and inspiring examples of projects and teams who deserve wider recognition.

Last year the Awards Categories included achievements in Open Data, Digital Skills and Innovative Enterprise. This year we may also expect to see progress in Smart City developments, Broadband Quality and Network Management, major steps in eHealth, examples of Municipal Enterprise and the role of cultural activities in the growth of local/regional economies.

The Awards Categories will, however, be determined by the Nominations. The Open Call is an appeal to anyone to put forward any project or team deserving wider recognition for their achievements. We need only contact details and a brief descriptive line. We will research the Nominations ahead of the assessment for Short-Listed Finalists in June/July.

The Finalists will be invited to prepare an expanded submission to a prestigious independent judging panel and the winning entries will be celebrated at an Awards Dinner in November. Submission guidance will be given and entry is free of charge.
