Big Data Mission to Australia
UK Trade and Investment in partnership with the Welsh Government and ESP KTN are offering an opportunity for British companies to participate in a Big Data and Square Kilometre Array (SKA)mission to Australia. The mission includes exhibiting at CeBIT Australia from the 5th to 7th May. To learn more on the mission UKTI are holding a webinar on Tuesday 25th March.

The opportunity:

CeBIT-Australia, being held in the high profile area of Sydney Olympic Park, is one of the world’s leading technology events with over 30,000 visitors from all over the world. The main themes of this year’s CeBIT-Australia are: Big Data, Cloud, eGovernment, eHealth, Enterprise Mobility, Cyber Security, Digital Marketing, and China.

At CeBIT-Australia you will be able to demonstrate the UK’s capability, expertise and ability to deliver innovative solutions to business opportunities in the digital age.  You will have access to services and contacts to maximise business potential including a tailored programmes of business matching events, seminars and networking sessions with the key stakeholders in the SKA and Big Data sector.
The proposed programme is:

Monday 5th – Wednesday 7th May
Exhibit at CeBIT Australia

Thursday 8th May
Opportunity to meet senior stakeholders from SKA, Big Data Sector and the National Broadband network followed by an evening reception with the Consul General

Friday 9th May
Proposed site visit to CSIRO followed by further opportunities to hold one to ones and network with industry leaders in the SKA industry

Recognising this unique opportunity UK Trade & Investment, the Knowledge Transfer Network and the Welsh Government are partnering to deliver the comprehensive business and technology programme leading up to and during CeBIT 2014 in Sydney.  In addition they will run a competition for a number of free spaces at the exhibition.

Competition opened on 3rd March 2014
Competition winners will receive: Free POD spaces for UK exemplars in the “UKTI GREAT Pavilion at CEBIT” space in the Big Data/IT services zone at CeBIT Australia including exhibition passes.   In addition to the free space, there will be some assistance provided for travel and accommodation and potential opportunities to present in the seminar series. It is also open to larger organisations although they won’t have access to funding.
