Business Development Assistant - New Moon Studios

We are a small Virtual and Augmented Reality firm based in York. We’ve been working in leading technology for over 9 years, and our team have worked on websites, game development and design, app development and much more. 

We have worked with some larger international brands, and have an exciting and broad range of clients.

We’re based at The Catalyst on the University of York’s Heslington East Campus. We have free parking, great bike facilities and an excellent bus service. 

You:

You will have excellent attention to detail, and will be able to work autonomously as well as in a team. You should be prepared to work collaboratively to successfully complete great projects, and be happy and willing to take ownership of your tasks to ensure they are delivered on time.

An interest in new technology such as VR and AR would be beneficial but technical knowledge is not required as training will be provided.

Experience in sales, marketing or administration would be an advantage.

The Role:
The role will be varied and give you a great understanding of the different areas of the business. Working with our team, you will be responsible for handling sales enquiries, liaising with clients on projects, identifying potentials for developing the business and handling social media accounts. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Handling incoming sales enquiries
  • Creating and managing lists of potential clients
  • Managing existing client relationships
  • Creation of marketing materials
  • Event planning
  • Social media planning and management 
  • Identifying opportunities for the business to expand (e.g awards, conferences etc)
  • Supporting other team members with project work as required
  • Presenting and exhibiting at events

Required skills:
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Effective time management 
  • Customer Relationship Management software knowledge 
  • Microsoft Office (including Excel)

Hours:
The role is offered on a part time basis, based on 17.5 hours per week. We are flexible with how these hours are allocated, and are happy to consider either 5 half days, or 2.5 full days. We are happy to come to an agreement that works for both you and us. 

Wage:

The wage is £17,000 - £19,000 per year pro rata depending on experience. 

Report:

This position reports directly to the Managing Director.
